Gulls Week Ahead July 27th-August 2nd

After nearly two months of NECBL action, the Newport Gulls have just three regular season games remaining. Currently 25-15-1, the Gulls have already secured a spot in the postseason but still need some crucial wins down the stretch to lock up a favorable playoff seed.

The week kicks off on Monday as the Gulls host the North Adams SteepleCats. The game is sponsored by the Newport Elks and VFW, with Newport Elk Lodge 104 giving away 250 FREE "Be Our Guest on any Friday" tickets. Show your gratitude and support for the men and women who keep our country safe while cheering on the Gulls as they look to win FIVE STRAIGHT! First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m., with streaming available on NECBL+.

Newport hits the road Tuesday to take on one of the NECBL's hottest teams, the Danbury Westerners. The penultimate game of the regular season begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

The regular season comes to a close on Wednesday as the Gulls return to Cardines Field to face South Division rival the Martha's Vineyard Sharks. It's Host Family Appreciation Night as we recognize the families whose support makes the Newport Gulls season possible. The Newport Gulls and Feast & Fettle will also be giving away 250 FREE Bento Boxes, and all children 12 and under receive FREE admission. Join us at Cardines Field to celebrate an outstanding regular season and help send the Gulls into the postseason with momentum. The Gulls have officially clinched a spot in the 2026 NECBL Playoffs, so be sure to stay up to date with Newport's playoff schedule as postseason action begins Saturday, August 1.
