Bio

Noah Martinez returns to the Newport Gulls coaching staff after previously competing for the club during his collegiate career.

A former Gull, Martinez appeared in 36 games for Newport during the 2022 season, posting a .291 batting average with 36 Hits, 31 RBIs, and 5 Home Runs. His time in Newport came against top competition in the New England Collegiate Baseball League and helped further his development at the collegiate level.

Martinez played collegiately at Central Connecticut State University from 2019-2022, where he saw action in 87 games. He compiled a career .309 batting average with 107 hits, 99 RBIs, and 22 Home Runs. In 2023, Martinez transferred to the University of Pittsburgh for his Senior season, and tagged a .306 average in 55 games off of 63 hits, 52 runs, 53 RBI’s and 13 Home Runs.

Now on staff, Martinez brings firsthand experience from both the New England Collegiate Baseball League and the collegiate ranks, contributing to the continued development of Gulls student-athletes.
